It started the way most of these stories do — a single pack, a lucky pull, and a folder that kept getting heavier. What began as personal collecting turned into buying, trading, and selling with other collectors at local meetups and conventions.
Once the trading outgrew the kitchen table, opening an actual storefront wasn’t a leap — it was the obvious next step. CDC opened its doors as a real trading card shop, built by someone who still personally checks every graded submission that comes through the door.
Today it’s a full retail floor — new and vintage singles, sealed product, graded slabs, and an in-house grading submission service — but it still runs on the same instinct that started it: find the good stuff, treat it right, and put it in front of people who’ll actually appreciate it.
